Mashiko sunflowers

Sunflowers in Mashiko bloom in August every year. Approximately 2 million sunflowers bloom across a vast area of roughly 11 hectares, making it one of the largest sunflower gardens in Japan. With free parking, free admission, and even free sunflower picking, it's definitely worth a visit!

Getting to the Sunflower Garden

By car

  1. Around 20 minutes from the Moka IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway via National Route 294 or Route 121
  2. Around 20 minutes from the Sakuragawa-Chikusei IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway via the Tsukuba-Mashiko Prefectural Road
  3. Around 60 minutes from the Utsunomiya IC on the Tohoku Expressway via National Route 123
  4. Around 60 minutes from the Mito IC on the Joban Expressway via National Route 50
