Sake Tours and Tasting
The long history of Mashiko’s Tonoike Sake Brewery spans 100 years of making the finest sake, which has recently been awarded fourth place in the world sake rankings.
More than 70,000 visitors each year enjoy tours of the brewery, where they
are introduced to the traditions of sake production, highlighted by colorful
displays of tools and equipment.
Tonoike sake is available for purchase at the souvenir shop. At the sake bar,
you can enjoy a taste of Tonoike’s different sake varieties while drinking
from distinctive Mashiko ware sake cups.
